Great! You Got IT.

The Bitmap Gallery only lists the default Xara bitmap and those bitmaps currently in the open documents (drawings).

I think you can add bitmap images to a folder so they will be there at all times. I'm not sure where that is on the Linux version. I'll check when I'm home later today to see if I can identify the correct folder. That is if I have electric power and a home, we are in a tornado warning for the next 4 hours.

Thanks Tompoe. The tornados were further south and the power was only off for a short time.

I found the folder that holds the Default xara bitmap shown in the Gallery, but it is in with many other .gif files (toolbar images and icons). This tells me that folder isn't actually used for the Gallery.

Maybe someone else can give us a hint as to where to look.

You shouldn't need to export your drawing as a BMP and reimport it. You shoiuld be able to use "Create Bitmap Copy" to create a bitmap version of the selection. This should then appear in the same document and in the bitmap gallery. You can delete the bitmap from the page and it should remain in the gallery for re-use.

You can see the bitmaps of all your open documents in the bitmap gallery (each document should appear as a separate folder in the gallery) and can use bitmaps from other documents in your current one.

That would be great. I'm not sure where to go to find the create bitmap copy, though. I'm stuck on what the steps are, as the free version doesn't seem to have menu selections to do this. I'm running Xtreme 0.7.0

Tompoe, that's probably in Arrange/Create bitmap copy.
