Default My Friend's 1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster

This is a picture of my friend's replica before he sold it. He had had it painted, when he bought it, it was a pale banana color and he got told constantly, he said, that it looked like he was driving a banana down the street. He had it painted a cream white instead.

Framed it to reflect a nostaligic period.

Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

I really like this one, nice feel and I like the way the background seems to be out of focus. Remi's notes are spot on however. The rear tire does seem to float a bit. The fence is seemingly transparent and the front tire is wonderful. One of the few where the car seems to actually sit in the scene and not simply lay on top. The car itself has some nice self reflection and the different surfaces have their own finishes. Nice job.

Nice one, Sally. Love the paintwork, just the kind of subtle effect I am trying get with by boring old Toyota in another thread. I can see I've got a lot to learn. Nice grass too.

Excellent image Sally. I especially like how the grass looks as though the car has driven through it and has been pushed down. I don't think the rear tyre is floating, it is sitting on the crushed grass the front tyre created when it passed through the grass.

Thumbs up Re: My Friend's 1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster

Great work! Good detail and I love the chrome and reflections.
Now if the yellow one was a banana what do they call the white one ?
I think the inside of the banana. This banana has lost its peel.
