I should be satisfied with what I have accomplished I have been told.

Whoever told you that has no understanding of the human condition I think.
Surely one of the very purposes of living is to make progress and if one becomes satisfied with what one has accomplished then one would not make further progress.

What qualification I do I lack? What's wrong with my work?
