FOOF!
nice one Ron.
I managed to replicate the effect, but the process was rather different. I like the effort so much that I am writing a tutorial myself, though, i intend to convert it for InkScape, the idea being that I can use it to drive traffic to my site, should I ever get enough material to put it up. I like the idea, of creating little JS toys (knot work slider puzzles, f'r instance) for the same purpose.
good man,
geo.
man this is some really exciting stuff. I've so long ago set this globe project stuff on the back burner... my original creations were for desktop icons and not this elaborate or sophisticated. Now I see spinning globes have become quite enhanced and I think I'd like to have more info on how they're done or if you've made a tutorial or anything for this one in particular. I understand how its done here but if you've taken time to write more about it I'm definately interested in reading it
Yes, yes, and what if the core is made of CHEESE?
Hi Ron, It's very good. I didn't see the first one but I assume that's your avatar, which is also excellent.
As for it being worth it, if you can generate it running smoothly at a reasonable sized resolution, the sales potential on microstock sites is quite large I would say.
That's spooky neat.
True love is the ultimate truth
Ron,
The new avatar looks awesome. Is that designed as a continuation of this thread?
