    Default Waxy with Live Effects

These ones need Eye Candy 3.01 jiggle and Photoshop Plastic Wrap plugins to be installed.

    kindly,

    Re: Waxy with Live Effects

Great stuff. I can get the AlienSkin 4000 effects to work on the bitmap copy but my Adobe Photoshop CS2 filters, when applied, pop up but the Xara generated bitmap does not appear in the target window and therefore don't work as they should.

Is there a settings menu in Xara or PS I need to set?

I don't quite understand what you trying to do. However, only some native PS filters up to version 5.5 will work with Xara. Adobe made a change in version 6.

    Photoshop compatible filters may work.

A little of the last effect would work well with one of the "aged" photos from the Workbook to give the photo a blistered look.

I suspect you're right: post PS6 filters won't work but many 3rd party filters do.

HaHa ! Nice use Gary !

About my PS filters, they are before PS7. My PS7 filters don't work.

    Here is another variation.

    - I added a clone on top of the first object.

    - I changed some things in color, contrast and brightness with AAA filters.

    - Then I apply a fractal clouds transparency with a harsh profile to this clone.

    - After that I added a wall shadow with a zero blur and a very tiny shift.

Thats an application of my eroded bevels principles (see my mini-tuts). There is a whole world of texturing tricks to find with this kind of techniques.

    kindly,
    ivan
