Is that a screenshot of Xara Xtreme on the Ubuntu Studio home page?

I can't decide myself. It could be useful exposure for the project if it is. Ubuntu Studio is a planned distribution tailored to creative artists.

I've read that we haven't had much luck attracting external programmers. I'm a huge fan of Xara, and would I'd love to help myself, but unfortunately I only do perl (so far).

I'm pretty sure that is Inkscape.

It is very unlikely that Ubuntu Studio could include Xtreme due to its current status as non-free.

It's definitely Inkscape. Xara LX (version 0.7r1692-2) is in Ubuntu Edgy Multiverse repository, and I think it will also be in Multiverse in Ubuntu Studio.
