Humpbacked circles

I have been trying to animate some gears on a machine drawing, unsuccessfully. The perfectly circular gears all animate (with swf preview in XXPro) all lumpy - not at all circular. I am using the rotate+: notation for the anim.
I tried something more simple - a perfect circle with a fill to tell if it's rotating or not. Same thing - the circle comes out looking like an egg (no offense, Egg).
What's up with this?

Looks great here. When I open it on my end (xar file) and click on preview in browser I get a totally distorted thing again. Here's your file saved as xar and swf on my end (with new file names) and here's what I see:

You have entered (in your post) size 200 x 200.

300 x 300 will cure your problem .
Especially if you put in a background square of about that size

What you are seeing in my last post is exactly what I see when I open your file in my Pro and click on preview in browser. I have made absolutely no changes to your file.

This is totally weird, Drifter...

When I load your xar file, then click flash preview, it looks perfect.

Bob,

I think it's a bug that was in earlier releases. Try D/L'ing the latest version and this should go away.

Thanks Egg, at least I now have something in the way of help. I have been putting off getting the newest release since I have read about people not knowing whether or not to install over the previous release or to uninstall that first. I didn't want to do it without the correct instructions. I was hoping I could wait it out until the CD arrived, but I need to have it work properly now.
I will wait a little while more and see if anyone reassures me as to how to upgrade, safely, and then take my big step.
