    Default From lips to lady

Haven't done a portrait in a long time. My previous portrait postings included, Marilyn Monroe, Joseph A. Campbell, Halle Barry and Albert Einstein.
This time I thought I'd create my own character starting from the lip sample I posted for sarah-louise. This is the wireframe of what resulted from building the face around the lips.

Here is image. Will come back to it later to examine what changes I want to make. My usual problem with people is that I want to make everything very geometrical. Hard for me to restrain myself.
How about some crits or suggested changes?
    Thanks,
    ron

    Hi Ron,

The face has a lot of character. Well done.

Looking at the image, the lady has a shine to her skin. In times past, a lady would say she needs to powder her nose.

The lower eye lashes appear to be too long. I'm not sure if that is what makes the eyes look odd.

Humans usually do not have true symetrical features, some slight variations are normal.

Great work overall, just some minor tweaks should correct the few things I mentioned.

EDIT: Looks like Ron is making some changes as I was typing my reply....the image is missing from his second post now

I used named colors for the hair, lips and eye shadow. Dork that I am, I didn't think to do the same with the eyes and skin colors. Ahhh Nuts!!!
Oh well, here's a variation in colors.

Oops! Just noticed hair strands don't match hair color. Will have to fix that.

Shading under the eye brow area need darkening, and now the eye color can be changed under named color.

That's pretty good, Ron! I like how you achieved the look pretty much with colours and shading alone. Reminds me of a lady that works in a fish and chips place around here.

I'm just wondering if the brow, if the line is a bit too strong? I dunno.

The dark areas on the cheeks, maybe just slightly lighter? Just guessing.

The eye shadow, I would either make it a shade darker than the eye colour or a shade darker (or lighter) than the hair colour. If she was wearing something green or blue, then you could match it with that but since the drawing is just the head, it may blend in better. For me it seems to stand out too much.

    -Bob.

p.s. saw your update while writing this - looking good.

    Thanks Bob,
Here are the adjustments I made per your suggestions. Better?

P.S. Should I add eyebrows? I've seen women without them, but not many. Any suggestions on that?
