Object not named

I created a flash with many objects and many frames. Unfortunately I failed to name one object that appeares early in the flash. I can go back to that frame and name it, but this doesn't help. Subsequent appearances of the object don't have the name. Is there any way short of doing the whole thing over to fix this?

CButton...I can't believe that I have actually learned enough about this to be able to help!

If you go to each additional frame, select the object, then click on the proper name in the names gallery, then click "Apply," it should work.
