    Ron the recapitallogo.ico shows fine here but the .gif doesn't because in spite of your quadruple checking you made and missed a mistake:

    <link rel="icon" href="index_htm_files/"recapitalflag.gif" type="image/gif" >

    You have a quote where there should not be one

    You're right Steve about the quotation mark. That was inadvertently put in there. However, I had to add to your code the "index_htm_files/" part as it didn't work until I added that to what you posted above.
    Thanks for your help and spotting that extra quotation mark.

    Correct Ron, what I gave you was the generic code for both types.
    You have to make edits if your file names or locations differ.
