EVERYTHING I TRY TO DO WITH MY U-LEAD 5 JUST COMES OUT WRONG I HAVE GOT HAS FAR AS LOADING MY IMAGES BUT WHEN I PLAY BACK THE GIF I CAN ONLY SEE A CORNER & NOT THE FULL IMAGE

To answer your questions here could get quite long and involved ...without seeing an example of your problem.
Try this url http://www.mts.net/~nelsrob/The owner of that site knows a lot about UGA 5 and you should be able to learn the basics at least from reading his tutorials.
