    Default No smooth transition

I created my first flash anomation, I basically duplicated what i saw in the tutorial movie provided on the Xara X Pro intro page.

The thing is... I dont get the smooth transition between frames, it looks just like a simple .gif anomation.

Where do i find all the differient transition effects? I looked all over the tool bars.

    I'm missing something?

    Hi Byronious,

The text objects on each frame need the same name for tweening to occur. The attached it your file with the names 2 and 3 removed and the name 1 applied to the text on each frame.

What you said makes perfect sense. I made up a new file and did what you said, but still do not get the weening effect. File attached.

Based on this files properties what am I missing, what do I need to change?

Byronious the text objects in your new file do not have a name.

When you start an animation that you want to tween between frames.

Create the first frame and select the object you want to tween.
Click the Name Gallery Icon then click the New button to assign a name to the object.
Use the Copy Frame toolbar icon or the Frame Gallery Copy button to make the next frame. Because it is a copy, the new text object will already have the name you assigned, this is what you want to happen so don't change the name or delete the name.
Make the changes you want to this copy of the named object (change colour, or size, or position).
Preview the flash animation and the tweening effect should work.

Here is a file, with smooth tweening, and detailed information on what I did and why. Hope this helps.
