"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.
Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.
Hmmm... My taste (or-non taste) in music is quite eclectic... I'm ok with pretty much anything, except rap, hip-hop, country and euro-pop. Or rap-pop, hip country, euro-hop...
Always at the top of my playlist:
Morrisey...
... The Smiths.
Beautiful South.
Bruce Springsteen.
Green Day.
Depeche Mode. (Ok, some albums are sort of euro pop-ish... It's more of a nostalgia trip that anything else... Fun times... Oh, those fun times...).
Wilmer X.
Enya.
Barenaked Ladies.
Andrea Bocelli.
And when nobody is home, I occasionally plop in classical CDs (those collections of elevator music that we all recognize).
Sad I know... But I don't know any better.

You could just about take Risto's slection and paste it here but also it must include alot of blues and rock as well like:
Peter Green
Muddy Watters
Robert Johnstone
Floyd
RHC Peppers
Buddy Guy
Radiohead
U2 (live)
Eagles (live)
Bonnie Raitt
The Clash
Paul Wellar
This list could go on and on as I like LIVE music and the has to be a concert once a month but it is getting a bit expensive but it is still worth it. £75 for Clapton! no thank you.
Design is thinking made visual.
Well, I am still a reggae and ska fan.
I can visit the concerts now of the bands
I couldn`t see in my youth, I am one of
those old farts that relive their childhood, the way
it should have been if I had the money.
But I also like many other bands, and other music.
Like U2 (like albacore, I have a live concert on tape from
1981 (pinkpop), but you probably already have it, for I released it on the early
napster days and the files have been floating around for a long time now.
together with UB40 (also pinkpop)and Doe maar a dutch ska/reggaeband)
So basically, if I like it I like it.
be aware, not to become a ware.
Our play lists are a random sort, ranging from the late sixties to present day...
Though I must say, our local Vancouver area has a pretty decent rock scene so a lot of what we listen to is home grown
My taste in music is also wildly eclectic. From Jimi Hendrix to Thelonious Monk and Charlie Parker, with a dash of Robert Johnson, liberal helpings of Mozart and Stevie Ray Vaughan (both geniuses), a splash of the Clash, The Ramones, Radiohead, Gorillaz, Paul Weller (the governor), The artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince... the list goes on. I even like a bit of Sniff Doggy DooDoo (or whatever he's called this week).
As far as I'm concerned, if the music is good enough, then it's good enough for me. With one proviso - I live near a tourist resort and in the season we're swamped by impersonators (Elvis, Frank, Robbie, Abba, Kylie etc.). I swear, if I hear *?*@%*! My Way one more time..........

I like a wide range of music, but generally prefer acoustic to over-amped!

Damh the Bard
The Medieval Baebes http://www.mediaevalbaebes.com/
There are a lot of others, but these I listen to over and over again.
For something a little more rocking:
Barenaked Ladies
Dixie Chicks
The Baebes are a really great group. As you might guess from their name, they sing medieval and renaissance music, mostly a capella, and need to be listened to very carefully!
They have one song in particular which sounds very classically romantic, but when you actually listen, it is downright raunchy. Not all the songs from that period were solemn hymns...LOL
They were in the US a couple of years ago, and did a number of appearances at our Renaissance Festival. Aside from being beautiful (as you can tell from their photos), they are also extremely witty and funny. As one of them said, "We love costumes, all dressed in white, pretending to be virgins..."
