    Default Fireplace

This was an interesting experiment. I had to convert the Live Effects to Bitmap Copy with alpha before they were visible in the flash animation.

Having loads of fun playing with Xara Xtreme Pro

Good idea for the reflections/shadows, another good 'un.
"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.

Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.

This is really cool (or should I say warm?)...I like the way that the shadows match the flames.

Thanks Will. The shadows are a fractal plasma fill. The movement was done by changing the location of the center fill handle on each frame.

I love the look of a fireplace. I just had one installed in our home here in Miami...but the fire is electric and generates no heat! That way it doesn't have to compete with the air conditioning.

Now I can see that fractal fills are something else I'm going to have to start studying. I've used them in a couple of tutorials, but am not good at visualizing what I can do with them yet.

Nice animated fire and glow, have to give that a whirl when I get back up and running.
