Doug, you could compress the text file and then email it to Mas, or send him a PM to arrange to send it to him.

But what is the point? I'm using a customized version of Studio to Go by Fervent Software, a Debian based digital audio distro. I highly doubt that he is using the same distro with the same changes, updates, etc. that I have! <shrug>
Can someone be more specific as to what they want to compare?
Sorry Doug, I was thinking you and Mas were running the same distro.

No problem, Bill. :-)
I originally posted just to mention that lx worked 'out of the box' in different Debian based distros FOR ME. I downloaded the bzip2, extracted it with Ark, clicked on the xaralx file, and there I was in Xara Xtreme LX!
And that's all I did-so help me! lol!!! :-)

I can run Xtreme on the same distro and version as mas (Debian Etch/testing) so I can send the list if you really want it. However given that we should have the exact same set of libraries and ldd indicates that you have what you need I suspect that this is not a simple library version mismatch.
Assuming that Xtreme isn't giving any useful error messages the next thing I would try is to run it with gdb.
I don't know if this is related but there was a thread back in September by someone on Ubuntu who had Xtreme crashing very early with no useful error messages. The issue seems to be with SCIM input. The associated bug is still open but the thread mentioned above gives a work around.

Yes. That is why I asked it to be mailed to me directly as the package list would be debian specific and not useful to all xara users.
I checked the same on my system. The uncompressed file is about 145k which when compressed gives me a 32k file. That file can be mailed to me directly.
