    Default Isometric grid not isometric?

    Hi guys,

I just downloaded Xara LX v0.7.1764 on Suse Desktop 10.

I like the isometric illustration, so I was happy finding an ISO grid.
But when using it, it seems to be not really aligned at 30 degrees but a slightly
    less (around 28 deg).

I got it when skewing a mere rectangle with 60 degrees: edges are neither aligned
    to the grid nor parallel

Is this a bug or just my first 'user error'?

    Thanks for your answers.

    Hi Vicarius,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

This is a point that has been brought up many times over the years. If you do a search on the Xara Xtreme forum (go to advanced search) using isometric as the search word. You should find lots of discussion about the subject.

One of the most informative threads discussing the grid http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.p...isometric+grid

    Soquili,

Thanks for taking time to answer.

I've looked at the post, and even if I don't understand all the details yet,
    it answers my point.

Actually, I came to Xara because Inkscape doesn't have an isometric
grid for the moment (v0.45 maybe) and I like doing isometric. I'm working
in the IT business and I think those kind of illustrations are specially suited
    for IT diagrams.

I'll continue my exploration of Xara, but fixing (or giving the user the choice)
the isometric grid should be easy for Xara programmers.

    Thanks for your help.
