Nice spring Egg, a very strange idea. I was so puzzled by it that I tried one myself.
Mike, I was thinking that maybe you would have a different method to mine, I'll try it later, it looks easier. Now I am confident that we are not one of the same. We are separate entities.
From now on I think that I'll leave the tutorials to the moderators. Tutorials for me are harder than problem solving of the intial task itself.
Bob, you've taken to it like 'a fish to water'. I wish I could follow static tutorials as well as you.
I have never used any dedicated 3D graphics applications but I doubt that they are this much fun.

Mike I just tried your 'swing spring'. I encountered a problem at first, similar to one I encountered on my 'rotate spring'. My X3D default setting for the tracking is set to -250. I assume yours is 0. Once I rectified this after some head scratching, things worked out better. I also had to alter the spaces tracking (as well as your -250 instructions) for the ends to meet.
Anyway, cat is well and truly skinned again.
Thanks
Anas
Could someone upload an attachment. I have tried many times to create the spring and have had no success. I hope to reverse-engineer the animation to see where my mistakes are.
Thanks,
Pipe
Pipe Guy, try this.
Mike
Thanks all of you. Finally I have got my own version.
