    Default Sunny Daze

Getting easier with Xara....been experimenting a lot with the feathering and drop shadow tools.

Back to favorite subject #1. My homage to those female weather presenters of yesteryear who were valued more for their sunny, bubbly dispositions than their meterological (and geographical) acumen.

Think I may have seen too many Benny Hill reruns as a kid.

Very groovy. I like how you handle your outlines; good and bold but with interest all their own.

i think that the loss of the weather grrrl, though done with the best intentions, is a loss to local news altogether. There was a time when that lil bit of fluff satisfied us. In its place we have entire news casts of bimbos.

Ringtail, another great drawing, and your humor/wit is also great!

    Drifter...I agree about Ringtail's humor.

This illustration would be good by any standards.

But it is the humor that elevates it to greatness. I literally laughed out loud at this image.

    Thanks for sharing, Ringtail...

It's the little touches .. like the pointer in the eye of the sun ..

    "Tomorrow will be soggy ...

... this will be followed by the next day which will be muggy ...
then will follow weggy, furgy, frygy .... "

GeoBen: Thanks. Yeah...local news has gone downhill. All teased coiffures on empty heads nowdays.

    Drifter: Thanks man!

WolfMoonHP: That was the desired result! Thanks!

Intbel: Ahh. Sounds like lurvely murky English weather to me. Keeps those hills green.

Got in one more before my Xara trial period expired. A possible mascot for a local soccer...or what the rest of the planet calls 'football' team. Don't know if these colors are gonna fly tho.

The colors are brilliant! So? What did the trial period do for you? [I can't believe the trial period is over. I thought you just got it the other day...]

I actually downloaded Xara two weeks ago. But my computer was on the fritz most of last week, I had to catch up on some things and the clock was ticking. I do enjoy Xara so far tho. It's a pretty quick, forgiving, robust and user-friendly program. Didn't crash on my twitchy computer once.

Ringtail, wondeful drawings as usual, tell me how are you doing these outlines? I mean it doesn't seem to be a simple line tool.

Xara doesn't crash as a rule - only when 'tis pushed to it limits.
    That happens with all software.

Send a note to Xara UK telling 'em you were unable to use the software 'cos of PC problems and the trial period expired before you were able to give it any sort of test.

You might just find an extension will be given.
