No idea the connection either. Was frightened that this might be "the big announcement" when it first came in.

Well we don't spam, we only email people that subscribe to our newsletters. But this is the first I've heard of this offer, I don't think it's anything to do with us. Although I can see, of course, that they are saying it's for Xara customers. We certainly don't release out databases either, so I'm not sure how they'd achieve that.

I'll speak to people and get back to you.

I received the same email offer. The email title is "Xara Offer" and in the
email it definitely has the Xara Logo up top. At the bottom of the email,
part of the graphic says "copyright 2006 Xara Group Ltd.".

If this email is not from the folks at Xara, how did I receive it, and how can
they claim to be part of Xara?

Looks like it's from Xara. Here's the top part of the email:
[Yikers! I just noticed that it said the offer is being made to "all our North American customers." Wonder why it's selective?]

anything to do with maybe xara being animation ?!?!

Magix is a german company and it seems, this mailing is just a offer with a special price for Xara customers. I'm a Magix customer and they send these "offer mails" all the time to their customers...

It's only a marketing campaign together with Xara Ltd. - nothing more.

Hi guys,

Sorry about the confusion, I wasn't aware of it but it is official. So no need to worry. Magix partnered up with us to offer it to our North American customers, so we're sending it to some of our mailing list members. But Magix fulful the orders once you order through their website.
