    Default Old Drawing

    Hi everyone,
I was working on this old drawing adding some cloud and after trying some clouds I had made with fractal fills and fill colour, I found the best result was the Chalk Brush, a bit of feathering and transparency. It's funny how you never try the obvious first!

It's nice, but lacking something in the foreground perhaps?

To me, the faint rippling of the foreground water, and the reflection of the moon, were the perfect touch to provide depth for this picture.

Really beautiful, with a peaceful, somber feeling. Slightly sad and nostalgic.

    I like it a LOT!

Really nice image , just one small detail... why is the whole moon visible in the reflection when it's cliped off by the island.

Way better than I can do though

Now the reflection of the tree goes down too far >grin<

    (Relative to the moon, anyways)
"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.

Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.

The color version shows much more detail. Yes, Raymond has a point, in a 3-D world, the moon's reflection would be different, at its angle would skip across the water further and fade in the waves and the reflection of the tree far smaller. The moon is really much higher up even when on the horizon than one might just imagine. A softened edge would help too.

    Overall, a very pleasing effect.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.
