You can edit each frame time length in X1/ Xtreme.

yes, Anas, I know. In fact, the difference is small, but this animation actually slows a little as the dolphin approaches the "logo spot" and delays when he is under the horizon, but there is no way In Xara that I know of to tell it where to stop. When it stops, it always stops on the first frame.

Anyway, it was a fun way to kill an afternoon. And coincedentally, on my ride to the beach this morning i stopped for coffee on the Sta Monica pier and saw a pod of dolphins hunting about 75 yards offshore. It was a great morning.

    [QUOTE]the fonts used though are

Geometr231 BT "Italic Bold" for the J
    Amazone BT for the NC
    and Metro for the Entertainment[QUOTE]

I've got non of those so unless you've got a program that will convert these to shape or export as wmf or emf I don't think theres anyone who can help you. redrawing fonts by hand is a real pain.

    Jcon,

I was able to get a pretty clean trace of your logo using PoTrace (PNG example attached). The Xara Tracer is good for some things, terrible at others. One of the things it is terrible at is simple traces like this. I actually use 3 different tracing apps depending on what kind of trace i want (the third is mostly for inline traces).

unfortunately, PoTrace outputs SVG, which Xara does not (yet) recognize. Inkscape (which uses potrace) can output EPS, but apparently in a flavor unacceptable to Xara. I am stuck. I can clean it up in Inkscape, but I cannot get into a format that Xara 3d can use.

I have been looking for an app that will convert SVG into AI (which Xara handles very well), but so far, no luck. If it seems that I am going to a lotta trouble, it is because I run into this frustratingly often. I could have had this done in less than an hour and then M. Bramhill (or someone) could animate it for you.

If it is important to you (that is, $12.00 US important), you can have it converted at http://www.vectorgraphic.co.uk/
I attached the SVG version (zipped), but it might be just as good an idea to have then do it from the original JPEG.

    good luck,

    geo.

    Cheers GeoBen,

Now you can start to do something with it!

    GeoBen,

I imported your svg into Illustrator CS2 then exported it as an wmf. It came across very well, cheers.
