Smile Need help with Bitmap Tracer

I am having no luck converting (what I consider) simple bitmaps to vector shapes so I can import to Xara 3D6. The manual and help files are not very helpful. Regardless of the slider adjustments I end up with a trace that is nowhere near as sharp as the original Bitmap. I would be more than willing to attach the two logos I'd like to convert to an email if any of you are willing to convert to vector and explain how and what you did to accomplish.

Second in this regard: I note that Xtreme Picture Editor is designed for bitmaps. I work with a lot of jpgs from my digital camera. Must I convert the jpg to bmp before opening in Picture Editor?

    Thanks for helping this neophyte.

Post the images and watch the rush.

A JPEG is a bitmap. So is a BMP. Any raster image will do for XPE to play with it. It doesn't have to be a BMP, just a bitmap.

    Clear as mud.

Thanks, Big Frank. That clears up the second problem. Can you help with the Bitmap Tracer?

Let's see if Big Frank is right and you all scramble to make these conversions for me.

The Rotary Int'l logo would like nice with 3D effects but it needs to be converted to vector.

My MBA logo is actually a circle inside a rectangle. It would be nice to crop the circle out of the box and then convert to vector.

Any help in peforming this magic will be appreciated and I would really like to learn how to do this stuff for myself.

Yes, indeed. Now please tell me what you did to accomplish this. And how can I use your results?

Just to remain on topic, this thread is more Xara3D so I'll move it to that Forum in a few hours.
