Default Feedback on updated site please?

    Feedback please folks.
Don't have to be nice - be honest.
If you can be both nice and honest that is okay as well.

Ok, Raymond: let's have a look

    1. Your pages are extraordinary long. Why?
    2. I found a misspelling "Xara Xtreme", not "Xara Extreme" and "Flash", not "Fash"
    3. Typography: There is a mix between centered text and left aligned text. Sometimes you use more than one Blank between sentences. hm...
    4. Your contact form destroys your layout.
    5. Some fonts in your forum are to small to use with the Firefox browser.
    6. There are some errors in your HTML code.

    Regards,
    Remi

    Morning Raymond,

    like Remi already mentioned:
Your pages are a few meters long. If you scroll for a while, you find the icon of your tracker, nothing more. I would guess this is not intended behaviour.

On your top graphic, you should avoid anti aliased text, as it always looks blurred. (Sidenote: thats one of the good parts of Photoshop. You can simply turn it off and get good looking text on a web graphic).

"Why INTBEL ?" would probably look better on a single line instead on 3 of them.

The candle doesnt show at Navpoint "Portfolio".

Your contact form has 2 different fonts visible on Firefox, and doesnt show up at all in IE7, where I only see a small black square.

Your styles contain fonts, that are only avaiable on MS Windows machines, which will be replaced by browsers on other operating systems (Comic Sans).
If I look at the source I would guess that html and styles are generated by software, is that right ?

Is there any reason you disable right clicks on your pages ?

Is there a particular reason to have no navigation available at the contact page ? You provide no way to get back or to home page.

At the forum, you provide no way to get back to your site. You have your logo clickable anyway, just let it bring you back to your site.

Besides these points which I would mostly regard as bugs, the site is easy to navigate, regarding the colors I can only say they would not have been my first choice, but I regard that as a matter of personal taste for this kind of site.

PS. I hope you forgive me for writing a novel before breakfast even )

    Morning Raymond,
My thoughts are on the size of your thumbnails, as your are trying to promote yourself, so they have to catch the eye of the viewer and make them want to explore further. Home page is nearly without graphics and that what you are trying to sell so there has to be more.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    <body> tag : height:50000px
    <div> tags : height:2626px, height:2618px, height:2632px, height:2624px,
<img> tag : height="2632" - maybe this is the real culprit

Intbel, why do you have a website? What is it's purpose?

    Ok it sucks.... Just kidding

Well first of all, as already mentioned, I can scroll down few meters. I suggest you fix that. Also your thumbnails are too small.

I'd make them larger with bigger padding, so a person has to scroll down a bit. It serves two purposes:

    1. A better preview of your art in case a person does not want to click on it.
    2. Gives an impression of more if he has to scroll to view all of the thumbnails.

EDIT: Also your candle, indicating the page I'm currently on, is not showing on portfolio, and is at the same place on screensavers/Out takes.

    Cheers

    Hi Raymond,

I don't know how much artwork you have to display, but I use an open-source program called Gallery to drive my art display. It has a lot of flexibility. If you would like to see how I used it on my own website for ideas, you may click here.

I see you are using the excellent phpBB software for your forum, also open source. But if you look at your membership list, you will see that along with some people with a genuine interest in your site and what you have to say, a lot of unsavory types have joined your forum. Their main reason for joining is so that they can have a link to their sites on your site. They join as many on-line forums as they can.

Unfortunately, phpBB administration tools are not too good for weeding out such problems when one gets slammed with dozens or even hundreds of such purveyers of "comment spam" and "link spammers." But you can download a free utility that helps a lot here. I recommend you get it and install it. This is a blight common to all on-line forums, and I'll bet the forum administrators here spend a lot of time purging such detritus on a daily basis.

My last comment about the forum is that the yellow background color and the colors in your lovely graphic quarrel with the default colors of your phpBB forum's theme (called subSilver). You might want either to change the theme, modify the theme, or something like that. I understand why the yellow--it fits in with the overall design of your site and has that interesting and nicely-designed INTBEL graphic. There are a lot of themes you can download and use on your phpBB forum that might fit in better with the design of your site.
