Re: Xaralx build 0.7 problem
You get the message about deleting a stale lock file when you start up xaralx after it has crashed or otherwise terminated improperly.
Basically, when you start up xaralx it creates a lock file so that if you try to start it again while it's already running, it can detect that and make sure you're not running two copies at the same time. The file is removed when you quit xaralx, but not if it crashes or doesn't quit properly (say because the computer is turned off or something like that).
The message itself is just telling you that during the process of creating the lock file, it noticed that one was already there, and so the old one is removed before the new one is made.
I don't think that should cause any crashes, though. Although the code is pretty robust already, it's not fully complete, so there are some things that can cause it to crash.
One other piece of advice, you probably shouldn't be running things as root if you can possibly help it.
This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.
