4.You can do good animations if you know how to use it
5.It's very complex
These would be the first 5 reasons for me.

My first Xara top five:

1. It is easily affordable compared to, say, P'shop.
2. It has all the tools one needs to produce high quality work.
3. It doesn't need filters .. though most filters can be used.
4. It is the best animation 2D drawing prog currently available today.
5. It is not at all complex, and a novice can get to grips with it very quickly.

(How can being complex be a plus point?)
