Since this forum won't allow me to upload a WMF file, here is a link to one on my site. Can someone open it in their 3d6 and let me know the results, please?

Didn't find a .wmf, only a .jpg black circle.

No no no .... What I said was try deleteing the circle with a square hole in my .x3d file and importing your .wmf

I'll try to explain in more detail.
    1: Open Xara3D6
    2: Open the .3dx file I attached earlier (pipe_guy.3dx)
    3: Select all.
    4: Delete.
5: Now import or paste your wmf file that previously rendered as an oval into THIS file.
6: Is it still an oval or is it now a circle?

That is what I did. I meant to say that I imported my WMF file. All the settings from your circle w/ square hole remained. Yet I have an oval once again.....

    Pipe Guy,

This doesn't make sense! The settings in the bottom info bar have no influence on the file. If you're importing the .wmf into "pipe_guy.x3d" and it's still oval then your .wmf file must be oval and not circular.

You'll need to post the .wmf file here so we can look at it. As the forum won't let you post a .wmf you'll need to post it into a folder and zip it, then we'll be able to view it.

We're 'cross posting' at the moment.

OK...new "shot in the dark" attempt
For ILLUSTRATOR, under the preferences, the settings are
    size/leading 2 pt
    tracking 20/1000em
    baseline shift 2 pt
    Greeking 6 pt

    What does all that mean???
Basically it means ILLUSTRATOR is supplying more information than is required for a simple .wmf. All of these "tags" or whatever they're called are for print, not monitor display.

In Illustrator try to convert your TEXT to SHAPES, or a similar term. Then try to export as .wnf

Here is a zip of my files. You will see in the 3d6 file that my "circle" is not round at all compared to EGGS circle/square hole.

The other 2 files are the WMF that I imported into 3d6 and the button logo that should fit over top as a texture.

Any ald all help would be greatly appreciated

(BTW...is there a way to "reset" preferences in Xara 3d6?)

Sorry...my web uploader automatically changes unusual formats to JPG.

Is anyone willing to take the file by email???
