Andy,
I'm guessing that ACT wouldn't probably store someones car for free. Why would they expect to get a logo designed for free?
Just noticed my logo isn't very realistic...
"You don't ask, you don't get". Well, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Some of us make our living from design and I for one am more than willing to give generously of my time and experience to help out somebody needing some hints, tips or direction. But no corporate body is ever going to get a freebie out of me, a corporate body who will profit from my work without a thought for compensating me for my effort, and anybody who does that is in my eyes a fool. And do not for one moment think some of the professionals on this board have never done any charity work, that is not what we are talking about here.
If I have offended anybody, sorry, but that's my opinion.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
They're going to kill me anyway and I'd love to die the way I lived:
Avoiding Manual Labour.
Frank,
Bang on!
"All hat and no knickers" type of business. They have wharehouse big enough to lose a double decker bus but want someone to create a logo free of charge, for the fun of it, the buzz, the acclaim...etc..etc..etc..Basically a small company that stores anything from documents to cars and buses
Andy,
Could I suggest that when you are using a logo in a website that you create the logo at the size it will be veiwed at rather than have the browser resize the image. This way you will get a lot cleaner/crisper image.
