Default Mobile Phone image & file

This is my third and last (for a while) contribution to the forum.

First off - I found the tutorial for this buried somewhere deep in the old Xealots files - I claim no originality to the work and regret being unable to credit the originator. Perhaps Gary might locate it and put a link on this thread for anyone else wanting to try.

I tackled this project during my first week with Xara - delighting in its ease of use. Prior to the switch I had used Illustrator since its first incarnation as Illustrator 88! So I was no stranger to vector illustration.

I encourage new users to strip apart the image and learn from my mistakes. The nicely shape bezel may look very stylish but in truth it was a product of a poor linear fill!!!

I hope my three recent postings have gone some way to repaying the generous and patient artists that regulary contribute and monitor this great forum.

    Thank you

    Ray

Ray, I think it came out great! And the choice of the walnut background compliments the brown in the pic itself!

Ray, I hate to do this to you, but how would one text in d,e or f?

    Otherwise, a smashing piece!
"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.

Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.
