"column text" conversion to "simple text"

Is there a shortcut to convert a column text to a simple text.

Not really... the shortest way is to select the text tool, click somewhere in the column text and select all text (ctrl+a), then cut/copy and paste anywhere you like. But then you have to insert all the page breaks manually I guess. On the other hand, if you are not going to edit the text anymore you can simply convert it to shapes (ctrl+shift+s).

I want to migrate completely from CorelDraw (Windows) to XaraLX (Ubuntu linux).
I have lot of CorelDraw files and I export those in CMX format that XARA Extreme (windows) is able to import. But all the simple text in CorelDraw is imported like column text in Xara Extreme (lot of manual works without shortcut !!! ).
