    Default where is it then?

    just used the auto installer to try out extreeme. Everything seemed to install fine on my ubuntu setup

    BUT

    the apps not listed in my applications menu and there is no /usr/bin/xaralx folder

    someone give me clue please

    ps someday someone will offer an app on linux which just works 1st time like wot windows does.

    Do you have a /usr/share/xaralx folder?

    no.

    Just tried the install again - everything completed fine and it said that the app woudl be added to /applications/graphics - only it's not.

    ah ha - needed to reboot - now why couldn't the install completion notice have told me that?

    It works without a reboot on my Ubuntu 6.06 Desktop.

    Under Linux it's often not necessary to reboot.

    In this case, it was probably not the reboot which solved the problem, but the fact that because of the reboot your window manager restarted and re-read the configuration information that had been added.

    You can usually get around this by logging out and then logging in again without all the painfullness of a reboot.
    This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.
