    Default missing files

    heres an interesting one

at work were on a network

now while the computer was saving or backing up a file the computer it saved to went and crashed....

on trying to open the file we get a blank page

the size of the file is the same but no work exists in it...

my boss was wondering if its possible to retrieve the lost data
or wether the file has completely corrupted and will need to be started from scratch

That is a question best answered by one who does data recovery. If you backup was saved to a different drive, the data there may be intact.

At my work, we have the server which we save to and the backup drive which saves from the server. Should the server crash, we have the backup drive to restore from.

If there is a lot of work lost, it might pay to have someone who can do it, see if there is anyway of accessing it.

This is not my area of expertise.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.
