Sounds more like a strange fontsize bug. Works fine in Gnome here. Obviously still there is some problem though.

I thought we did in the 0.7 release? It should be working now from the autopackage version though I understand there is a problem on the Debian / Ubuntu .deb due to the way they compile wxWidgets.

Is there any way to print from Xara on Ubuntu Dapper? I am using the autopackage 0.7 rev. 1729.

Hi Soquili, yes I can print from other applications without a problem. I use cups.

I use CUPS as well. From the File menu in the Printer Setup, does it show your printer? I had to select my printer from the drop down list before I could print.

yes, I've got my printer in Printer Setup. Though I do not have a drop-down menu, it is a just a list, see it below. As you can see I have my printer ticked. However in the print dialog box I have "Generic postcript" as a printer. So when I click Print, nothing happens

I have to say that sometime between rev 1692 and 1742 the ability to print from XaraLX has disappeared. I cannot get the program to print using CUPS or any other print configuration.

I'm using Debian 3.1r2 and Gnome 2.8.1

The debug report created by XaraLX has been added to the BZ 1609 report.

Well, I'm printing fine with FC5, with latest updates through yum, and Gnome 2.14 from Xara r1745. We will have to wait until one of the developers sorts it all out for everyone's distro. We know that the printing function is not finished.

I set my default printer in Gnome System/Administration/Printing, after providing the password. Patience, patience... then just leave it to my page size. I don't have a postscript printer, but that is taken care with through ghostscript as I understand Xara uses presently. <smile>
