Thread: Photigami

    Default Photigami

Hi. Valery shared with us his excellent technique of utilizing
a single vector shape (ellipse), repeated over and over again
to create a stunning image in his thread "458 ellipses". And
I, like the rest of you, am very grateful for his doing this.

I saw something similar a few months back, in the bitmap
world, using a single shape, repeated over and over to
create a great picture. Check out the tutorial steps of
    "photigami" ...

That is interesting and a perfect accompaniment to Valery's post(s).
I reckon one could make anything out of any shape.

Yes, Intbel. A simple shape to create an entire piece.

I find both Valery's technique and this bitmap creation one,
eye opening, to say the least.

The simplicity (yet beauty) of their ideas/approach shakes my notion
about what is "not possible". And it gives me a helpful prod to explore
    creating art the same way.

Here's to leaving our ruts behind and having fun again.
