this is really odd - must be early altzheimer's or something similar

even though i only recently bought x3d and started playing with it i WAS able to figure out how to have one imported picture on one side of a round button and an entirely different picture on the other side so that when it spun you could see both

now i can NOT remember how to get TWO DIFFERENT pics or textures on there

any help??????

What, help for the rotten memory? Maybe two asperins, maybe not. For xara3d, I believe you have to insert a page break and paste the shape on a new page.....that or two asperins......frank

Frank is right, you have to have two objects in order to show two different textures. The normal way is to have two pages, with each page containing a copy of the object carrying the texture, and you change the texture on the 2nd page. If front page only is ticked, in the animation dialogue, X3d will show the front side of the first button/shape, until it rotates out of view, then switches to the 2nd page to show the front side of that button/shape coming into view.

On the other hand, maybe its xara3d needing the aspirin.

i am inserting pages and doing these things, but can't get it

i am pasting the shape, then adding texture to the button face

then inserting page break, pasting the other shape, and adding new texture
and it doesn't work

should i be doing this stuff with the text instead of the button face?????

Bob, put two shapes on one page. Apply one texture to one and the other gets the other texture. Then insert a page break between the two shapes. Trying to apply textures with the page break in place applies one texture to both objects.

It drove me nuts (that's my current excuse for being nuts ) before I figured out to texture then split into pages.
