Drifter, Pogee, the animation was made using Xara3D's inbuilt Ripple animation. This just makes objects oscillate along one or other of the three axes. Ripple lets you set the extent of the movement with the Amplitude setting.

The parts that stay in the centre had an amplitude setting of 0%, so stayed unmoving in the centre of the axis, while the parts that had to be on one side or another were imported twice, with identical but opposite amplitudes between about 65% (the spokes) and 95% (the wings and feathers). The Ripple animation is allowed to run until it displays frame two, and then is paused (not stopped).

While it is paused, you can still select individual parts and amend the amplitude setting to finely position them.

This gives me a static 3d image of the winged wheel, and to acheive the spinning image, I merely moved the horizontal scrollbar fully to the left (-180 degrees), and took a screen dump and imported the image into the first animation frame in a blank animation file in XaraXtreme. I then repeatedly advanced the scrollbar in 15 degree steps to the right, taking a screendump at every step, and assembled the 24 frames in XaraXtreme.

After that it was just a case of cropping each frame manually and exporting the finished spinning animated gif.

This is very great job. I tried to make it but I lost one of step and didn't work.
Please if you can and have time please make a tutorial about it.
