    Default overlay feature

    hi everybody.

let me tell that i love this soft but only comes to me a question is there Overlay feature in Xara Xtreme like the one in ph...toshop.
because with that feature it's some how very useful when you want to make a fto montage.

or if any idea on another manner of doing please let me know .
    thanks for this great job.

    Hello mckalyster,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

There are many ways to create a montage of photographs using Xara Xtreme.

One way is to use shapes and clipview to select portions of a photograph.

Another would be to draw a shape conforming to a portion of a photograph and either clipview or intersect shapes to "cut" a portion.

The attached image shows my grandniece with my youngest granddaughter from 2 years ago. The two additional images of my granddaughter are clipviews with some feathering applied.

If you are new to Xara Xtreme may I recommend the XaraXone as an excellent source of tutorials and workbooks for learning the program.

Welcome to the Xtreme Conference mckalyster

In many respects Xtreme is easier and more direct than Photoshop.

In Bill's example, you can just apply a Circular or an Elliptical transparency to an image. A Profile will help extend the opaque portion of the overlapped image.
