torn edge plugin for xara

Have an urgent request for help! ))

Need to find a free plugin for XaraXtreme that making the "torn edges"... Don't know how to describe it more... Should get an affect of ragged edge of paper (photo) -- plugin dealing with picture edge/border... Didn't find it at my own ))

Hello alex,

may I suggest the following technique in Xara:
Choose a ragged brush and create a rectangle.
Now choose Combine lines to shape. If the fill dissappears you can combin another rectangle with your shape.

Now you can either use it as a clipping mask for your photo or just fill it with your picture.

I know that it doesn't give you the torn page effect exactly but it's a workaround

If you have access to a digital camera or a scanner, you can make a bitmap mask of torn paper. That would mostly like work.

I have been scanning to make a paper texture. Almost threw this out. A scan and convert to grayscale, and some adjustment for a darker black.

I used this in Extreme to invoke transparency.

I am even lazier than you. Just tear abit of paper of the right size and scan it and give it a drop shadow it couldn't be easier.
