    Default Battle Tank

This Battle Tank was fun and addictive to consruct.
It is 100% X3D in 'Ripple' animation as a single frame.
It is made up of 28 separate Xtreme/ X1 2D import designs and maybe nearly 300 individual pieces.
I had problems finding specific objects, making each a different colour did help to some degree. Using the bevel tool near to the end of the project moved other objects, so I spent more time rectifying this unintended change.

    PS
Technically this model is implausible, so please do not attempt to construct any working models from it.

    Wow.

I'm totally amazed how you and Mike Sims can use the animation options to make your creations.

Very nice indeed, Anas, I sense a kindred spirit! Er, you're not Scottish, are you?

Yes, I also sometimes found it could be quite hard to find and select the right object in complex projects. On some occasions I bumped up against the max character limitation, for instance in a locomotive image I was working on. Hmmm, must go back to that and finish it.

    Norman, that's just terrible!!!!

    Anas,

I think that only you and Mike really understand the 'Ripple' technique.

    Fantastic images.

    Anas,

I'd love to give this thread a 5 star rating, but it's something I've never been able to do since we swapped forums!

Where the helll is the rating icon?

    Thanks team,
I wish my wife understood like you guys do.
Mike, I'm not Scottish, just aspie.
Egg, I wish I did understand the ripple effect, for one, the wave option is an enigma.
James, it's probably more obsession than patience and skill.
I'm just in the process of creating a camouflage bitmap for the tank.

    Hi Everybody,

I am totaly new to Xara3D and when I see your work with multi parts objects
    I got a question.
How do you do such things.
When I tried to load more than one object created in Xara Xtreme into Xara3D the object I pasted first was replaced by the object just pasted in.

I simply do not get it.

Is there some tutorials or some more explanation somewhere how to do.
The Help file in Xara3D is no hlep here.

    Cheers
    Pawel

    Hi Pawel,
Welcome to X3D and the forum.
Hopefully you have experimented with the cursor and multiple line text. If you have, you will have noticed that in order to insert the NEXT line of text, you will have to hit the [Return] key. Now that the cursor is central again you may continue with the next line.
When you Load from Xtreme etc. the same rules apply; you must centralize the cursor.
Remember that with Xtreme you do not have to Save and then Load your image into X3D. Xara have now made it easier with a short-cut option. You can simply highlight the Xtreme design that you want, Copy it and then switch over to X3D and Paste.
