1. Goals for the Challenge forum

It was created with "fun", "sharing" and "learning" in mind; a supportive forum where everyone can participate, learn from each other, and build upon previous ideas and concepts. Imagery, ideas and concepts you post here can be used to create derivative works - for posting in this one forum only.

When it comes to Copyright; it's still with the original artist.

2. Who can partake and post challenges?

The Challenge forum is open to everyone, and every: graphics application, natural media or photography tool you use to express yourself.

Moderators of this forum will be posting challenges with the help of all of us. If you are having difficulty defining the challenge: make a suggestion in the Challenges idea pool thread and it will be looked at.

Yes, you can post your own challenge right here. However, new threads started will be moderated (new threads will need a moderators approval before being displayed).

3. Guidelines for challenges

Before posting:

(a) Each challenge should have a goal in mind. When you post a challenge, please try to provide a concept or idea (abstract or concrete) of what you would like members to explore.

(b) Simply posting a: "I drew this <thing> - everyone draw one!" might not be as constructive as giving members something to work with or strive for. A concept or idea might get more members involved than asking everyone to draw something specific.

There are people of all skill levels here at Talkgraphics – getting everyone involved would be the perfect challenge to strive for.

(c) Challenges can be everything you want it to be in terms of graphics:
- What can you do with this source file?
- How would you colour this?
- I saw this technique – what can you do with it?
- What's your take on a logo, business card, flyers, mailer, ad, form, web page, package etc. for the "Montreal Squirrel Milk Producers"?
- ...

4. Important!
This forum is not for posting design requests, or links to contests on other websites. Nor is it for posting design requests for commercial websites or businesses. However, if you enjoy the work by a contributor in this forum, by all means feel free to contact the member in private (Private Message or Email) and ask for his or her services.

This meant to be a forum by Talkgraphics members for Talkgraphics members.

If you have non-commercial website or organization supporting a good cause and looking for something graphics design related: PM the moderators with as much detail as possible about your organization, and perhaps an exception can be made.

Again, remember that new threads will need to be approved by a moderator before it shows up here. The reason for the delays is to limit Spam and to give the moderators of the forum a chance clarify a new challenge if needed.

5. Moderating this board

Moderators will look at already existing challenges, requests and feasibility before approving a new challenge. If you have any questions or wish to bounce an idea: PM them!

Spam, schemes and solicitations posted to this board will be dealt with... So don't even bother.
