the website in question is http://www.fca-sc.org , if anyone wants to see what its doing.
Well, you're right. The submenu's don't flyout on mouseover in Internet Explorer.
I noticed you used Adobe GOLIVE. I don't know if there is a bug in GOLIVE or not, can't say. I do know that Internet Explorer (IE) and CSS don't always play well together.
I use Webstyle 4, which is a sister product of Menu Maker and am not having any problems with it. (I use Frontpage as the HTML editor)
The menus defintely work in Firefox as I navigated around your Website.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but can definetely confirm there is an issue with the menus in IE6.
Maybe Adobe Golive folks may know if there is an issue?
thanks for the response.
Ok so here is what IE is telling me. it says" line: 3 Character: 2907 error: document.getElementbyId(...) is null or not an object" I looked and cant find any thing wrong. you can download the xaramenu file for the site at www.fca-sc.org/xaramenu.js
I didn't see anything on the page but the Xara Copyright notification.
I will investigate further to find out what error this is. It is probably more of an Interface problem with IE rather than the javascript.
Let me plow the field and see what comes up.
ok I found the error, and it is in the xaramenu.js file. It is a statement that says: if(!NS7)document.getElementById(name).onmouseout=t idyMenu;, if you delete this statement then the submenus will work fine in IE6 and all other browsers.
Thanks James for helping with this problem!
Interesting!
I'll put that down in my 'keep an eye out' list. Now take that Sherlock Holmes hat off and get back to work!
