Rich, thanks for the file on Capitola -- now I see where the colors came from. very different
I've got some questions for you:
are you able to use plugins or strokes or other things from your EGD libraries in Xtreme? if so how do you import them. do you have a plugin manager....if so is it free and do you recommend it?
thanks
nance
Nance,
Presently, EGD only allows internal filters.
E3 uses external filters. It depends on the filter, and you would set a path to the filter location. Most things work, but some don't.
I use the same tiles for Xara and EGD. I don't have any in the E3 resources because of the file size.
Maps can be used in things like KTP, and other applications. Xara doesn't use maps. KTP is a bitmap effect and EGD is vector. Transparent maps are only useable in EGD.
Some of the strokes could be used as brushes. You wouldn't have the same flow, however.
Rich
thanks much for your reply

This was something I was doing in EGD and thought I would try a Xara version.
I made an inverted copy of the water image in grayscale.
Made a brush and painter over the ripples. Made a bitmap copy of the painted image.
Loaded the grayscale image. Selected the bitmap copy and used the grayscale image to set the image transparency. Placed this over the original image.

Hi Rich. I don't know if it would be much trouble or not, but if your up to it I'd be interested in how your water image looks from just the grayscale 'color', and not with any additional color such as the yellow. it's a curiosity, as you have mentioned b4 that you have had trouble with water. please don't feel obliged.
thanks
