I reduced the shutter time to 250 to try and stop the bee's wings. Rich
Wow, that is cool. did you use a digital camera or 35 millimeter . How did you time it with the bee?

Matt,
This was with a Canon 20D with a 100 Macro lens. The aperature was F11 at 250th in manual. I changed the AF to center point to keep the camera from hunting for a focus. I used a 580EX flash to compensate for the exposure. This was hand held. I was just testing the setup as I am not sure if the change in time would miss the flash.
I am trying to get large butterflies in focus at close range.

that is a nice camera.
Yea, I kinda thought that you did not use a disposable camera.
My aunt just gave me her 35mm Canon and some lens and I am having fun learning to use it. I tell you it takes some wonderful unfocus pictures.
I just can not get the wildlike to pose for me like you seem to do here.

Matt,
You just need to wear lots of flowers in your hair. Watch out for bees, though.

Clever, entertaining, pictures Rich. What patience you must have, like all naturalist photographers.
