Re: X3 install advice over curr CD versions
I have 9.0, 12.0 and X3 and I use all of them but X3 the most. They live happily together. New versions of CorelDRAW create a new .exe even if it is bought as an upgrade, it is a full-executable file and does not overwrite older versions of DRAW.
Mostly of late, however, I use the previous versions to find out if the current DRAW behavior is a bug or not.
X3 is pretty good overall.
Biggest thing at work I had to get used to was that X3 considers all printing presses as portrait. This is not true for desktop printers. With a portrait setup you can force an landscape orientation in custom page size, however, you didn't have to do this with 12. However, it does have its advantages, I rotate plates only half as much.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.
