Just for the fun of it ...
Hi Mickie,
I was wondering when we would get a Lady's perspective on the logo. Very nice.
Bob - love your style.
Derek - I like your work.
Everyone has some good ideas. As you all know, I'm severely logo design handicapped so I will sit this challenge out

hahaha, thanks (i guess) - i re-did it a little:

I thought a little bit about your service, because I think the most important question is: Why do your customers need your service?
I think you're right: infants, toddlers and school aged childrens are like small "Küken" (german for "small chickens"). They are curious, imperiled and often unsure. They must be protected.
And that's the message of my contribution:
- A small chicken, which explores the world interested as well as unsteady on his feet.
- On the right side the text "Mother Hen's Daycare".
- On top the roof, which symbolizes that the chicken is sheltered.
-------------------------
Perhaps I should go with my children on Sunday to a farm and look at small chickens - they are cute
