Photo-based illustration. It's not very creative but when brother send me this photo and asked for drawing it...
It's slightly blurred "dusty" version.

Suvek -- that's a very powerful image. I hope you don't mind that I was inspired to try and manipulate the image into a digital watercolour.

It is a very powerful image and you've made the effects very nicely. I would make one constructive suggestion, if I might: lighten the shadow below the two subjects a little. What you really want to do is draw the eye to the two subjects of the shot. Shadows are very stark in a photo, but in a painting an artist subordinates them.

Suvek - Your image is very powerful and scary. Can you imagine what that small child is thinking. I'm sure the soldier is very kind and is trying to be friendly.
