    Default Emboss plugin

I am working on the stained glass tutorial from the 2000 tutorials. I downloaded the emboss plugin and put it with my Elements filters. I have the plugin folder set up in the Xara options and I do see the other filters. However, I cannot seem to find the emboss filter. I tried elements and it sees
the filter. I have tried movomg the filter to a folder on its own and told Xara where it is, but I still cannot see it. Any suggestions?

You may need MSVCRT10.DLL. Go back to the download page and look for an EXE that contains the file, and the instructions for using it. Rich

I have several copies of MSVCRT10.DLL is verious locations. I tried adding it to the System32 directory, to the Xara directory and to the plugin directory. Still no luck :-(

I was able to run the plugin. It does need a 24 bit image. No idea why it won't work. Rich

Not sure if that plug-in is a photoshop type plug-in or not, my Plug-in commander is on my other computer, so can't look right now.

If it is , you may need plugin.dll which is a plug-in associated with photoshop and adobe.

Just google plugin.dll and there are lots of plugin websites that have it available.

Or, if you have an Adobe product, just snatch it out of the adobe/plugin folder by copying it and paste it in the Windows/System32 file folder.

I have plugin.dll for other filters in the Xtreme folder. I deleted it, and the emboss still ran. Rich

It looks like some more filters turned up after I copied plugin.dll to system32, but still no emboss :-(

You might try an alternate plugin (freeware).
