Band photo - (early stages)

My cousin, who is in a band, asked if I'd do a drawing of their band, "Burning Eden." This is just an early sample to get their feedback, there's still 4 others in the group.

Different style than my usual - a bit more darker. A simplified rendition, quicker to do too and I like the results. So far the feedback was, "very very cool."

I like each one Bob, but don't think they look like the same style when put together. You have a sort of cartoonish look to the girl and a more realistic but graphic feel to the guy. My preference of the two is more the feel you have with the girl but the wildness of the hair on the guy is a nice treatment as well.

Hope it doesn't sound like a slam as I like them both individually I'm just not sure you've got a consistant feel between the two.

Good luck on the finished product. Looks like a fun project.

There will be 6 characters in total in the final illustration, full body drawings. They'll be arranged in a group pose. This is only a sample to see if the style of drawing was okay to go ahead with. It only shows the faces because that's all I had done. The layout of this sample image won't reflect the final illustration.

Her look is to be more of a neutral, or blank expression.
