    James,
EXCELLENT times 3! As in your earlier drawings you've captured the little nuances that reflect personality and feeling in the expressions. They seem alive. You have a real skill in this type of drawing.

Thanks for all the kind words ... but to be honest these are really not too hard to achieve with a large amount of patience and if you put a photo on the right or left and create your sections over the top of it and then nudge them over to the other side where you build your final image creating layers for each part.

It just takes practice and patience - 15-20 hours a picture at the moment and each one gets better.

Hmm I lifted out the important one, so you must be okay in my book

And easy or not, the result counts, we now discover that great
artist of yesteryears, or yestercenturies even, also used camera obscura`s
to paint their paintings, well some of them.
The results are still great, and that is what counts.

And rethorical questions don`t need to be answered
But still nice you did .

I appreciate the posts here as I enjoy photography and portraits... one of these days I'd like to learn how to change a portrait into a drawing like these. (I toy around with plugins now getting the drawing effect, which is nice, but not the same...) Great job!

Sorry I have not been able to post some more examples but I had deadlines to meet, why does work not come steadly? it always comes in batches with most work wanted by the end of the month. Here is another example from photograph of a young child. The first example took 1 1/4 hours to complete with the second just minutes behind as I used LittleInkPot's plugin. What I am trying to do here is get a quick way of doing photos into vectors printing at work and selling them onto to the clients and making a profit. The clients I have found locally will only pay about £40 for the print and frame so time is the main factor.

After uploading and viewing the 2 drawing the sketcher effect can't really be seen so if I have a litle more time tonight I will try and upload a zoomed example.

    Logo Kid and Albacore,
For me, people are the most difficult to draw, even using the technique you described James. It takes a really good eye to capture just the right angle or curve, say around the eyes, to get just the right result. I use the same technique for drawing cars, but drawing people is much more difficult for me. Great work you guys.
