Here's a follow up of one I post before. I've tried to follow Gary's advice to simplify and refine.

    Very Excellent Simon.

Bob (Hahn) - What I was getting at is if your logo has no text will people understand what it represents? This is not always necessary for a logo to be successful but it doesn't hurt if a logo communicates what it represents without words.

Agreed, the dialog balloon is a bit overworked, but on the other hand it does communicate talk. It is kind of a universal symbol of dialog. So the challenge is to use it in a new and different way. That said I like your merchandising efforts.

Bob (Drifter) this is your best design yet.

I understand now what you're saying, Gary.

But - Whatever design one makes, it’ll need the web address to go along with it. That is where the wording is and with a name like “talkgraphics.com” that alone is self-explanatory in what it represents.

The dialog balloon is in a way a universal symbol of dialog - but at the same time, TalkGraphics seems limited in the dialog it uses, being mostly, if not, only English.

With the web address there, the actual logo can now be anything. Check out the Sega Dreamcast logo. The logo alone won’t tell you what it represents, but it should get your attention and make you want to know what it’s about. Once you know what it represents, seeing the logo again on it's own without any text, you’ll still know what it means.

I love your shirt ideas Nowire! Great stuff! I used your models but I think your colors look better than mine on black. I'll have to revamp mine later.

    Fun competition! Let's have another!

Bob (Hahn ) I agree, putting the .com on a shirt or mug is important for advertising.
However, I am not sure if it is neccessary to put it on the site.

This is what it might look like using the .com in the logo on the site

I realize the competition is ending tomorrow but, can we continue this posting to share more ideas once it is over?
I have really enjoyed doing this.

    Maybe a slogan competition?

Bob (Hahn ) I just checked out your portfolio - WOW! Amazing stuff!

    My last submission.

Thanks for the opprutunity to share the vision!
Hey no pun intended - but that could be good slogan:
    TALK GRAPHIC.com Share the Vision!
There are so many cool visual quotes that could be rehashed as banner slogans
or t shirts i.e ...Eye of the beholder, Look who's talkin at TalkGraphics.com etc.

    Thanks again!
