oops lost their hats, funny.
well, captain norm---here's where your pirate ship stands
nance
(laugh)...that's funny . not sure why its showing a colored background with the cut/pasted pirate flag. perhaps I can simplify this problem if someone else can tell me how to correct it? (was expecting the ship on a complete white background)

(ps: do I need to make it a bitmap b4 saving and exporting in order not to get this yuchy yellow background?)

Yellow?
yea, that yuchy yellow that surrounds my purple image--same as #55 but there it is in the image. how do I get rid of it?
and how can I make my text (handwritten with freehand brush) smoother and nicer?
thanks
nance
Hi Nance,
On my monitor I see a gray instead of yellow. Paul also was not seeing yellow.
I can't really help with your signature in the image, I can't get mine to look correct.

(are people seeing the background of my image in a purplish shade?)
well, whatever color one sees. I'm guessing (?) it is the color of the window application background we all see when working on an image in X. can anyone tell me why my uploads have this instead of white---which I see when I 'save as'
thanks
